If you have an existing contact list from your company records, you can import these contacts from CSV file directly into iCRM Contact List Manager.

How to Enable Sideloading on Android

To begin to sideload a file, you will need to enable the feature on your android mobile phone. Due to security concerns, Android prevents you from installing third-party Android apps. This is to prevent you from inadvertently installing a malicious file. However, we can override this function. The sideloading process depends on your mobile phone’s Android version.

How to Sideload Apps on Android

At the moment Xpress SMS Server Android App is temporarily not available on Google Play. Xpress SMS Server Android App is still safe and offers benefits to you. Sideloading is the process of installing an APK file on your Android device downloaded from sources other than the Google Play Store. The actual process of sideloading apps is easy. You’ll need to check the third-party app store for updates periodically and download them manually from time to time.

Enable Sideloading on Android 7.x Nougat

In older versions of Android, sideloading is an all-or-nothing toggle. You simply need to flip a switch to enable installing apps from anywhere.

  1. Head to Settings > Security. You’ll see an entry on this page labeled Unknown sources
  2. Toggle this on, and your phone will display a warning that your device is more vulnerable to attack with this setting on
  3. Tap OK to accept it for now

Enable Sideloading on Android 8.x Oreo

On newer versions of Android, Google made a change to sideloading to increase security. Now, you must toggle the Unknown sources option per-app instead of globally. This allows you to install from certain apps you often use while keeping others blocked.

  1. Open Settings > Apps & notifications
  2. Expand the Advanced section at the bottom and tap Special app access
  3. On the resulting menu, scroll down and choose to Install unknown apps
  4. You’ll see a list of apps on your device that can install other apps. Select the one you want to install apps through, such as your browser, cloud storage, or file explorer.
  5. Then enable the Allow from this source slider.

Enable Sideloading on Android 9.x Pie

  1. Download Xpress SMS Server
  2. Open download folder and you’ll see APK Installation Files
  3. Select the Installation Files and choose the Xpress SMS Server and you will see the popup notification
  4. Select the Settings button
  5. Then enable the Allow from this source slider

Install Xpress SMS Server APK Directly on Android Phone

You can sideload apps directly from your browser on Android. Simply download the APKs files. Once it downloads, you’ll see a little banner with a shortcut to open it. Tap Open and you can install the app.

Once finished the download process, go and select My Files folder on your device.

You will see APK Installation Files in a list.

Select the Installation Files and you will see the files xpress-sms-server-v2.apk in the download folder.

Simply tap the APKs files and you’ll see a warning that your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps; tap Settings to proceed.

On the resulting menu, scroll down and choose to Install unknown apps. Then enable the Allow from this source slider.

Once you enable the Allow from this source slider, you’ll see the confirmation messages to install these apps. Tap Install to proceed.

Once installed, it shows the app has been installed and you are good to go.

Open the Xpress SMS Server App in your devices and tap the Settings button.

Install APKs on Android via USB Transfer

Download the APKs file onto your computer. Plug your phone into your computer with a USB cable. You may need to tap the notification on your device and change the connection type to Transfer files if your computer doesn’t detect it.

Open This PC and transfer the APK files onto your device. It’s a good idea to create a new folder to keep them all in one place. Transfer them, then you can disconnect the cable.

To install your apps, open your Android file explorer and browse to the folder with the APKs. Tap on each to install them, which results in a screen just like installing from a browser.
