Thermal Printer Installation

BMO POS System includes a POS printer module (multiple receipt printer enabled) to allow thermal receipt printing. BMO Point of Sales System are compatible with a wide range of thermal receipt printers. It is also ideal for retail businesses, food and beverage, hospitality and so on.

POS 80 Mini Thermal Printer Installation

Below is a sample guide to show you how to install POS 80 (80mm) Mini Thermal Printer.

*Note: Please connect your printer to the computer and power it on before installing.*

1. Go to POS Market Download Page.

Click "Downloads" at the top menu bar. Under POS Terminal Devices Drivers table, search for POS80 driver that match with your OS(operating system). Then, click "Download".

2. After downloading the Zip file, unzip the folder and double-click on the POS80Driver folder.


3. Double-click on "setup.exe" (POS80Driver > POS80Driver > setup.exe) as shown from Illustration 2 to Illustration 4) to install the driver into your point of sales system.

4. Click "Run" to start install the driver on your computer. Then click "Next" as shown below.

5. Once you accept the agreement, it will prompt a message to ask you to continue to install this printer driver. Click on "Install".

6. After that, select the OS that matches with your computer OS. For example, if you are using Windows XP for your point of sales system, then you must select the Windows XP. Click "Next".

7. For the settings, you must select POS80 printer as the default printer, then click "OK" and "Finish".

8. Once the printer driver is completely installed, it will prompt up this printer properties window.

(Alternatively, open printer properties window by going to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Printers > Right-Click POS80 > Properties>Ports).

9. You must check the correct port (USB) that is currently connected to the printer. Lastly, click "Apply" and then click "OK".

10. Next, click on "Device Settings" tab and setup your settings for cash drawer. Then, click "OK". Your cash drawer now is successfully installed to your point of sales system.

11. Finally, POS80 thermal printer installation is complete.



POS 80 Mini Thermal Printer Installation for Windows 8

For Windows 8 user, there are some steps should be followed when setting up your thermal printer. Follow below steps to complete the driver installation:

*Before installing the printer driver, you need to setup the printer and plug-in the USB to your PC.*

*You need to change computer date to 01/01/2014 in order to proceed the installation*

1. Open [Control Panel]

3. Click [Add a printer]

4. Click [The printer that I want isn't listed]

5. Select [Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings] and click [Next]

6. Select [Use an existing port:] on the left and select [USB001 (Virtual Printer port for USB)] on the right

7. Click [Next] after select the printer port

8. Click [Have Disk...]

9. Click [Browse...]

10. Locate and open [OCPP-806 driver] folder

11. Open [POS80 Win8 64bit driver] folder

12. Select [ZJPOS80] and click [Open]

13. Click [OK] to continue the driver installation

14. Select the [POS80 10.0.0.11] printer driver and click [Next] to install

15. Put your desire Printer name and click [Next]

16. The driver is installing... just wait...

17. Make sure [Always trust software from … …] is ticked and click [Install]

18. The printer driver is successfully installed... click [Print a test page] to test print or [Finish] to end the installation

POS 58 Mini Thermal Printer Installation

Below is a sample guide to show you how to install POS 58 (58mm) Mini Thermal Printer.

1. Go to POS Market Download Page.

Click "Downloads" at the top menu bar. Under POS Terminal Devices Drivers table, search for POS80 driver. Then, click "Download".

2. After downloading the Zip file, unzip the folder and double-click on the POS80Driver folder.


3. Double-click on "setup.exe" (POS58Driver > setup.exe) as shown from Illustration 2 to Illustration 3) to install the driver into your point of sales system.

4. Click "Ok" to select the English as your program language. Then click "Next" as shown below.

5. Once you accept the agreement, it will prompt a message to ask you to continue to install this printer driver. Click on "Install".

6. After that, select the OS that matches with your computer OS. For example, if you are using Windows XP for your point of sales system, then you must select the Windows XP. Click "Next".

7. For the settings, you must select POS58 printer as the default printer, then click "OK" and "Finish".

8. Once the printer driver is completely installed, it will prompt up this printer properties window.

(Alternatively, open printer properties window by going to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes > Right-Click POS58 > Properties > Ports).

9. You must check the correct port (USB) that is currently connected to the printer. Lastly, click "Apply" and then click "OK".

10. Next, click on "Device Settings" tab and setup your settings for manual paper feed and cash drawer.

Choose "ZPrinter Paper (58 x 3276mm)" as Manual Paper Feed and select "Open cash drawer before printing" as Cash Drawer setting. Then, click "OK". Your cash drawer now is successfully installed to your point of sales system.

11. Finally, POS 58 (58mm) thermal printer installation is complete.



POS 58 Mini Thermal Printer Installation for Windows 8

For Windows 8 user, there are some steps should be followed when setting up your thermal printer. Follow below steps to complete the driver installation:

*Before installing the printer driver, you need to setup the printer and plug-in the USB to your PC.*

15. Put your desire Printer name and click [Next]

Two Printers

A Restaurant point of sales setup usually involves two printers, one for printing order items in the kitchen and another for printing receipt at the payment counter. Below are the pictures in guiding you to set up two printers.

1. Download and install the drivers for the two printers. (Refer to #Sample Thermal Printer Installation for POS 80 Mini Thermal Printer for sample installation guide)

2. Connect printers to PC.

3. Go to your POS Client and open POS setting. Login, choose the printers installed and enter number of copies.

4. Click "Apply" and your thermal printers are ready for use.



Three Printers

In BMO Point of Sales System, three printer configuration is similar to the sections above. You just have to add the third printer to "Item Printer" on POS setting window.

NOTE: Remember to connect all your printers to PC before using.



Setup, Open Drawer with Printing

For the cash drawer to open with receipt printing during a transaction is made, make sure the cash drawer cable is connected to the printer.

Please refer to #Sample Thermal Printer Installation for POS 80 Mini Thermal Printer Step 10 onwards.




Replace Paper Roll for 80mm Thermal Printer

1. Press the button to lift up the cover.

2. When replacing thermal paper roll for your thermal printer, make sure paper is pulled from beneath the roll.

3. Close the cover and make sure it snaps back to the device. The paper should be extended beyond the cutter before closing the cover.

Replace Paper Roll for 58mm Thermal Printer

1. Pull the lever on the right side of the printer to lift up the cover.

2. Add in paper roll.

3. When replacing thermal paper roll for your thermal printer, make sure paper is pulled from beneath the roll.

4. Close the cover and make sure it snaps back to the thermal printer firmly. The paper should be extended beyond the cutter before closing the cover.
