Installation of BMO Client

Installing BMO Point of Sales System Malaysia is very simple and easy. Our web based POS system is designed for dynamic retailers in which they can store valuable inventory information, price and cash. It will affect sales forecasts and business plans if the online POS system and offline POS Terminal are configured inappropriately.




Download the POS Software from POSMarket.com.my

1. Go to POS Market Download Page. Click Downloads at top navigation bar.

After that, click on Download under Action column to download and install the latest version of BMO Offline POS Terminal.

2. Enter information and click "Submit & Download" to download.

Installation Process

Below are the simple steps on how to install offline POS Terminal via POS Market Website.


1. Unzip the folder, then double-click on Setup.


2. After running the setup.exe, if an error message prompts you to install .NET Framework 4 in your computer, please install it first before you start installing BMO Offline POS Terminal.

For more info, refer to Installation of .NET framework section.


3. After .NET Framework is installed, the following screenhot will be displayed after you run the setup.exe file.

4. After verifying, click Install. The application will prompt you to begin the installation process.

5. Before finish the installatiom of BMO Offline POS Terminal, there are four checklist programs that you need to install.

6. Let's proceed to the first installation of GPL Ghostscript

Click 'Next'

Click 'I Agree'

Click 'Install' (Note : It is recommend not to change the destination folder)

Wait for the installation process

Tick 'Generate cidfmap for Windows CJK TrueType fonts' and Click 'Finish'

7. Let's proceed to the installation of CutePDF Writer, after the installation of GPL Ghostscript.

Click 'Next'

Choose 'I accept the agreement and Click 'Next'

Click 'Cancel' to cancel to the installation of Ask Toolbar

Wait for the installation process to complete

8. Next, is the installation of Microsoft Visual Basic PowerPacks 10.0

Click 'Next'

Tick 'I have read and accept the license terms' and Click 'Install'

Wait for the installation process to complete

Click 'Finish'

9. Lastly, is the installation of Microsoft .NET Framework 4 ( Note : You can skip this step, if you had already installed .NET Framework 4 on (Step2) )

Tick 'I have read and accept the license term' and Click 'Install'

Wait for the installation process to complete

10. Once the BMO offline POS Terminal has been installed completely, click OK from Illustration 20 to Illustration 24 to proceed to the setting window.


11. By referring to Illustration 25 at below, you will realise you need to configure your offline POS terminal. Some of the information are vital and it needs to be keyed into the system before we start to use POS Market's Offline POS Terminal.

Please refer to next step (Step 12) on where to gather those informations.

12. Go to Pos Market Login/Register. Fill up the form according to the login information used during account registration. Then, click Submit.

After logging into Online POS System you will see a homepage

Click on "Admin" to show the drop down list.

In the drop down list, select "Company Info" to view company info.

You need to visit the following pages to get the right information to fill in your POS Terminal settings window.

Company ID, API Key and Company Code

Admin > Company Info

Admin UserName and Admin Password

Employee > Employee List > Edit > System Account

Basically, these information were used for account registration.

Branch ID

User can either go to "Branch List" with

Admin > Branches > Branch List

Or Admin > Company Info > Branches

You may leave the following fields empty:

  • Next Receipt No
  • Prefix (Otherwise fill as REC)
  • Currency (May leave it as RM or fill according to your country's currency denomination)


Click Save after you have finished filling out the settings.

13. Clicking Apply will prompt a Initial Sync pop up. Click OK to start sync. After a while, another pop up will be prompted to request you to restart the offline POS terminal application to apply the new downloaded settings.

14. After you have restarted the BMO Offline POS Terminal application, click Register. After that, click on Activate to activate the application.

15. You must purchase our offline POS Terminal software before you can start using the application. Otherwise, you will not be able to activate successfully. After clicking "OK", you will be returned to the main POS Client login window.

16. If you have paid for the offline POS Terminal prior setup, the software will be activated successfully and shows the message below instead.

17. Fill in your username and password, then click Login.

18. Click Sync button on the top left of the offline point of sales system terminal to download detailed information from online BMO system.

19. A message will be prompted to request you to restart the application. Click OK. To restart, close all windows. Then click Login after opening the application.

20. Then, go to Petty Cash Setting (P.T.Cash > Setting) to configure the petty cash settings.

21. Under the Petty Cash Setting, select PettyCashIN under Petty Cash Account and select PettycashOUT under Cash Out Account. Then, click on the Save button.

22. A message will be prompted to inform you that the petty cash account has been set up successfully. Click on OK.
