Why use Debt?

Debt function is designed for creating transactions that allows future payment. This function can be used for regular customers who frequently makes one off payment for all transactions made. The amount of the debt will be accumulated and saved to the customer's account. However, this can only be done by setting the credit limit of the customer to -1 (unlimited).



How to Make Debt Sales

After selecting all the items purchased, you will need to enter (select) the customer's name and click Order button.

A message will then be prompt stating that the order has been created. The transaction details will then be shown. The total amount for that transaction is added to the customer debt.

How to Check Customer's Accumulated Debts

To view debts for a customer, click Contact and select Contact List on the navigation bar.

In the Contacts List window, select the customer which you wish to view his/her debts and click Edit.

In the Contact Window, click on Credits. The accumulated debts for the customer will show under "Unpaid Credit".

View Debt Report

To run a successful business, you must constantly check on your receivables and keep bad debts under control. BMO Point of Sales System provides a great function to help you to monitor your customer's debts.

To view the debt report, go to the Receipt window,

Then select the customer that you wish to view and check "Unpaid Receipt". Click "Search" to view the list of transactions that have not been paid by that customer.

If you wish to view all the debt transactions, you can leave the contact field blank.
