How to Setup Appointment via POS Terminal

BMO POS System comes complete with appointment management system especially for hair salons owners, beauty salon and spa owners. You just have to login and view the calendar to check how many appointments you have made to date. Because the appointment management system is integrated with the POS system, you can use the contact database to make transactions as well or create membership accounts for your customers. With all these great features, you can operate your salon smoothly.

Besides that, if you are a restaurant owner, you can use the appointment management system to manage your restaurant's dinner reservation. All can be done in a few clicks and you get to store precious contact details of your customers.

Event Category

Create Event Category

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. In the Calendar window, click New Event button to navigate to Event window.

4. Under Event Category, click 'New' icon.

5. In Event Category window, click New button.

6. Insert a new event category name and click Save button.

7. New event category has been inserted into Category List.

8. Click close button the dismiss the Event Category box.

Update Event Category

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. In the Calendar window, click New Event button to navigate to Event window.

4. Under Event Category, click 'New' icon.

5. In the Event Category box, select an event category which you would like to update and edit.

6. Click Update button to save the change.

7. Event category name has been updated successfully.

8. Click close button to dismiss the Event Category window.

Create New Appointment

Reservation

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. In the Calendar window, click New Event button to create new event.

4. In Event window, scroll down to select customer.

5. Under Layout No, click the icon to select table number.

6. Layout window will pop out. Click on the table which you wish to make reservation.

7. Scroll down and select 'reserved' as reservation status.

8. Scroll down and select event Category.

9. Insert Event Title, Description and Remark.

10. Click the calendar icon to select event Date Start and Date End.

  • Tips: To set appointment time, click the original time and insert a new appointment time.

11. Click Save to insert new event.

12. A message box stating that the event saved will be prompted. Click OK to dismiss.

General Appointment

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. In the Calendar window, click New Event button to create new event.

4. In Event window, scroll down to select customer.

5. Scroll down and select 'Other' as reservation status.

7. Insert Event Title, Description and Remark.

8. Click the calendar icon to select event Date Start and Date End.

  • Tips: To set appointment time, click the original time and insert a new appointment time.

Update Appointment Detail

Reservation

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. Select an appointment from event calendar.

4. Change reservation status.

  • Select 'Occupied', when it is in the serving process.
  • Select 'Absent', if the customer does not come.
  • Select 'Done', after serving.

5. Click Update button to save the new detail.

6. A message box stating that the event updated will be prompted. Click OK to dismiss.

General Appointment

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. Select an appointment from event calendar.

4. Edit the appointment detail and click Update button to save the new detail.

Delete / Cancel Appointment

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. Select an appointment from calendar and click Delete Event button.

4. A message box stating that event deleted will pop out. Click 'OK' to dismiss the message.

Check Event Appointment

From Receipt Info Section

All Customer Appointment

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, go 'Other' section.

3. Under appointment, click on the Search button.

4. Click on the calendar icon and insert the Date Start and Date End.

6. It will show you the event appointment info.

Selected Customer Appointment

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, go 'Other' section.

3. Under appointment, click on the Search button.

4. Click on the calendar icon and insert the Date Start and Date End.

5. Scroll down and select customer name. Then, click on the Search button.

6. It will show you the event appointment info for the selected customer.

From Appointment Section

1. Login to your BMO Client.

2. In the POS Terminal, go to Appt section.

3. Select a date from event calendar.

4. It will show you the event appointment for a whole week.

Insert Receipt for Appointment

From Receipt Info Section

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, go 'Other' section.

3. Under appointment, click on the Search button.

4. Click on the calendar icon and insert the Date Start and Date End.

6. Select the appointment from appointment list.

7. Go to Receipt section in the POS Terminal and click on the Layout button.

8. Select the reserved table to make order.

9. A message box will pop out. Click 'Yes' to confirm the reservation owner is there.

10. Select items to make order and click Order button to proceed.

11. A message box will pop out. Click 'OK' to create a new order.

12. Another message box will pop out and show that order is created. Click 'OK' to dismiss the message.

13. Transaction Info window will be displayed.Click Close to dismiss the Transaction Info window.

14. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

15. When you check the appointment from appointment section, the appointment box's colour changes.

From Reserved Table

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, click on the Layout button.

3. Select the reserved table to make order.

4. A message box will pop out. Click 'Yes' to confirm the reservation owner is there.

5. Select items to make order and click Order button to proceed.

6. A message box will pop out. Click 'OK' to create a new order.

7. Another message box will pop out and show that order is created. Click 'OK' to dismiss the message.

9. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

10. When you check the appointment from appointment section, the appointment box's colour changes.

Open Receipt from Appointment to Make Payment

After completed from step 1 till step 9 in insert receipt for appointment, you can now open reeipt from appointment section to make payment.


1. Login to your BMO Client.

2. In the POS Terminal, go to Appt section.

3. Select an appointment.

4. Click the 'Receipt' button to open the receipt.

5. Receipt is opened now. Insert payment amount in 'Tendered' column.

6. Click 'Cash' to make payment.

7. A bmo message box will pop out. Click 'OK' to confirm the receipt is completed and ready to make payment.

8. A transaction box will pop out and show that transaction is done. Click 'Close' to dismiss the transaction box.

Search Appointment

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. Proceed to Filter section and insert the information which you would like to filter. Then, click the Filter button.

4. Events that match the filter requirement/s will be shown in the calendar and the box under Filter section.

Set Reminder for Appointment

For New Appointment

1. Login to your POS Client account.

2. In the POS Terminal, Click on Appointments and select Appointments List on the navigation menu.

3. In the Calendar window, click New Event button to create new event.

4. After you insert the new appointment details, check the box beside 'Reminder 1'.

5. Then, scroll and select the reminder for the new appointment. For example, if you set 15 Minute. It means the POS system will remind you about the appointment 15 minutes before the appointment time.

5. Click 'Save' to insert the new appointment.

For Existing Appointment

1. Click to select an existing appointment from calendar.

2. Details of the appointment will be shown, check the box beside 'Reminder 1'.

3. Then, scroll and select the reminder for the new appointment. For example, if you set 15 Minute. It means the POS system will remind you about the appointment 15 minutes before the appointment time.

4. Click 'Update' to edit the existing appointment.

2. You will notice that there is a Alert button. The number shows that there are 15 alert notifications. Click the Alert button to view the appointment reminder notification.
